Dr. Donna & Jim are like family. We have been with them for a long time - about fourteen years now. They always have the compassion for any situation that they have stepped in to with our family. When I had to take my husband's (at the time - boyfriend) Rotti, Rocco to Dr. Donna one early morning with anti-freeze poisoning, she exhausted all efforts to save him. Unfortunately it was too late. Dr. Donna called me and asked if I wanted to be there with Rocco when she put him down. He held on until I could get there to be with him. My husband was out of town working and couldn't get there. They were so wonderful with me during that difficult time. Dr. Donna & Jim sat there with me and comforted me while I cried and held on to Rocco as he drifted off to Heaven.
They also took the time to come to my house to assist with my cat Swirl. She had severe stomach problems and Dr. Donna had done all she could do. Swirl was only 13 but in a lot of pain. Dr. Donna offered to come to the house to administer the medication so that we wouldn't have to bring Swirl and our daughter, who was at the time turning two, to the their office. She and Jim came out to the house and comforted me yet again as Swirl drifted off to Heaven.
They are the most caring and wonderful folks I have ever encountered. They both have hearts of gold and their staff is incredible. Every time you walk in their office, they know your name and your animal's name. They are the best! God truly has blessed them and all the folks that ever get to meet them!
We love you all!

To start off I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Parr & her staff. I have a couple of stories I would like to share. I had the most wonderful dog in the world and loved her with all my heart, but she was so very ill. Her name was Lexus, she was a doberman, with cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Her days were numbered, it seemed there were many times she needed to be seen by Dr. Parr, some of those times were critical. Dr. Parr would always work her in and take her time to examine and treat her. Dr. Parr's husband Jim was usually there and he was so compassionate while holding Lexus for her to be examined. Dr Parr went over and above, to order a medication from Canada that was not available in the US. The medication allowed Lexus to live 14 months, where without it she would only have lived 6 months tops. I cannot tell you how grateful I was for the extra time with her.
Most recently, we have a 15 yr old Llasa Apso, "JJ" who is in failing health. He had stopped eating and was dragging his little tail, which normally he would have curled up over his back. When I made the appointment I just knew she was going to say there was nothing left to do for him. But, I guess she could tell by the look on my face how worried I was. She said his kidneys were starting to fail but she would keep him there that day to treat him. We could pick him up at the end of the day and we would see a big difference in him. She was right! When we got home he was all chipper and the tail was curled over the back. He is now on dialysis and is doing really well. These folks are the best ever. I feel like I'm with family each and every time we go to Tender Care Animal Clinic. I love these folks.
Sincerely,
Donna Everly
When one has a veterinarian and their staff treat you like a part of the family, it doesn't get any better than that!
A year ago we moved to G.T. from South Carolina & with us was my aunt Billie who was 88 years old. She had never owned a pet, but had taken to our yellow lab. They were great pals.
We went away for the weekend and had friends checking on both of them. Billie was concerned that if something should happen to Reno, what could she do? I spoke with Dr. Donna and her dear husband Jim and they assured me that all Billie would have to do is to call Tender Care, and that they would come and get Reno. This thoughtful gesture made all the difference to us as well as my aunt.
My aunt passed away last year but her final words were calling out "Reno, Reno". Animal therapy for older Americans is a great gift both owner and dog. Reno gave unconditional love and was always happy to be with Billie. We all miss Billie and can only praise the care and understanding that your office gave to our family. Truly the name "Tender Care" fits perfectly!
Thanks to you all~
